Get Fit 4 Special Needs

This program is created to be fun and liberating for kids with special needs ages 5-18. Your kids will learn/experience how to exercise properly, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and enjoy physical activity. In this program we strongly promote positive self-concept, and confidence. Through each training session we want the kids to feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. We offer a highly structured, calm and consistent environment will help to ensure a successful experience for these kids. The structure of each training session is similar to our Get Fit fitness program. The difference is we will increase the time, and lower the expectation of intensity during each activity, allowing for more repetition, and positive reinforcement. First, we will begin with a warm up and stretching period. The kids will perform some warm-up activities, and stretching depending on their physical abilities. After the warm up phase, we will continue with our planned fitness activities. We offer different types of training activities alternating each day that include, locomotor skills, running, walking, core training, plyometrics, and circuit training/adapted obstacle course. Through these exercises, the kids will develop agility, balance, coordination, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and muscular endurance.
