Get Fit 4 Beginners
This program is created to accommodate 5 and 6 year olds, our fitness beginners. Children of this developmental stage of motor learning will perform locomotor movements, jogging, stretching, balance, circuit training activities, and play cooperative games. We will spend more time focusing on how to perform various types of exercises properly. This program will be the foundation to their future growth and development, and they will gain valuable knowledge of how the benefits of exercise will help them maintain a healthy lifestyle. The structure is similar to our general Get Fit fitness program, with the exceptions that we allow more time at each circuit station for repetition and positive reinforcement as well as lower intensity. As always, we are promoting positive self-esteem and self-confidence. We want each child to experience a sense of pride and accomplishment while participating in our program and to enjoy physical activity. Activities in this program include warm up and stretch period, circuit training stations/obstacle course and games.
